Starcraft League Season 3 Rules

Rules are similar to last season’s. Here are some noticeable differences:

1. all game replays must be uploaded to ggtracker.com and link provided for analysis/review by opponents. Those replays must be linked in the forum (TBD – Facebook for now)
2. in the playoffs, unlike last season, the player who never lost a game in the playoffs don’t just lose the finals and be out… he gets another series if he loses after facing the winner of the loser’s bracket. That’s how it should be as the loser bracket had an extra loss.
3. players can switch races between games, but they MUST declare the race a full day before the match at least if different from normal registered race, else the opponent can request you to switch back.
4. GM level players must off race for competitive balance
5. EACH game must be played between (9pm to 2am Eastern) Friday to Sunday of that week matchup to allow for caster’s schedule. If one has a personal conflict, he has to coordinate with that other player on a special schedule and confirm, and then late the schedule admin (HurtnTime) know BEFORE Friday of that week. Whoever isn’t responding, will get the forfeit LOSS. This is determined by who contacted the schedule admin. If there is a special issue, Freeedom will make the ruling by talking to all 3 parties.
6. Players can play their games ahead of schedule if both agree, but as usual must let the schedule admin know.
7. Game casts will be done according the stated Friday to Sunday schedule, but there could be make-up or supplemental games casted during the week that were pre-arranged as mentioned in items 5-6 above.
8. Only approved casters are to be allowed in the game to cast. No observers. They can watch on the stream instead.

UPDATE:

Schedule Admin: Jorge Lopez aka HurtnTime

Announcing PSIstorm Gaming

We are pleased to announce the formation of a new StarCraft II Gaming organization: PSIstorm Gaming. While we have some incredibly exciting things on the horizon, we did not want to wait before opening our doors and making some preliminary announcements.

We are a group of gaming enthusiasts dedicated to the idea of fun, no-BM, helpful, non-elitist, no-hacking spirit of things.

So what are we doing, exactly? Well, firstly we have a new Clan setup for SC2 (you can recognize us by the PSISTM tag). If you are interested in joining, you can check out our website or our facebook page for more information. All existing members from the [KJ] clan will be automatically added when we see them online. It is otherwise by invite only.

Second, we are working with pro players, casters, and content producers to help bring you guys some aweome stuff. We very recently did a series of showmatches for our members with the one and only iNcontroL. We’ve also done showmatches with players like Hendralisk and Enderr. There is also a meetup planned for Red Bull BattleGrounds DC. We just finished the second season of our online tournament, which paid out over $400 in winnings! Season 3 will be coming soon, and is open to all.

Possibly the most exciting thing we are happy to announce right now is our very first tournament:
PSIstorm Philippines SC2 LAN, Sept 27-28, with a $150 prize pool (details will be on our website soon)

And of course our SC2 activities are only the beginning. We certainly plan to expand into other games in the future.

Who are we?
We are a group of SC2 fans, who grew out of the MD/DC/VA SC2 Facebook group, and the [KJ] Clan.
The owners are:
Freeedom (This was his brainchild, leader of the KJ clan, and organizer of all the MD/DC/VA SC2 Facebook group events)
FilthyRake (AHGL Administrator, Let’s Kung Fu! guy, caster)
BlakeHG (Media, content-editing & management)
SirMalagant (Graphics, branding, content editing & management)

Where can I learn more?

Our best Terran, Zerg and Protoss will have fun playing against a Pro. While none of them are close to GrandMaster level and lets be honest has no shot of winning, this will be a fun experience for them. It’s like playing basketball against an NBA player, you won’t win but it will be fun to get your shots blocked almost every attempt!

It will be an all-kill style team format, between the clan and Hendralisk, 1 game each:

[KJ]SirMalagant – Protoss
[KJ]KenjiMuyo – Terran
[KJ]AGTOrange – Zerg
[KJ]Josef – Terran
[KJ]FilthyRake – Protoss
[KJ]Freeedom – Zerg
? – Ace match

This is open to any of our other clan members (must have the [KJ] tag) that want to play let us know you just have to beat the 3 players above for the right (bo3) to play against the pro. But if no challengers, it will be those 3 chosen.
