PSL season 2 – Open

PSISTORM Gaming is proud to show support to StarCraft 2 and now extends to players around the world! We are creating a tournament league modeled after the prestigious GSL.  We all have been fans of Artosis and Tasteless casting the biggest and longest-running StarCraft 2 tournament in the world, with the best players in “Code S”.

We are basing our tournament style after GSL, with qualifiers to a Round of 24.

PSL players will then be broadcasted competing in a similar format.

Qualifiers:
• All participants will play a Bo3 with their opponent (randomly seeded)
• 4 invited players are automatically qualified. They will no longer need to play in Qualifiers
• Top 20 players in Qualifiers shall move on to the Group Stage.
• Not all matches in the Qualifiers will be broadcasted online.

Group Stage:
• 24 players in 6 groups of 4 players each, played in a Dual Tournament format.
• All matches are Bo3.
• Top 2 players of each group advance to the Playoffs.

Playoffs:
• 8 players in the single-elimination bracket.
• All matches are Bo5. Grand Finals is Bo7
• Finals will be a Bo7 with a 1-0 lead for the player coming from the Winners’ Bracket.

PSL Prize Pool

$500+ Bonus prizepool and OSC points

1st $260 + 20% of Bonus Prize Pool
2nd $100 + 20% of Bonus Prize Pool
3rd/4th $50 + 10% of Bonus Prize Pool
5th-8th $10 + 10% of Bonus Prize Pool

Special prizes from OSC:

Qualifiers – Double Elimination:
1st: $20 + 40 OSC Points (+0.25 Pts x Number of players)
2nd: 15 OSC Points (+0.25 Pts x Number of players)
3rd-4th: 10 OSC Points each (+0.25 Pts x Number of players)
5th-10th: 5 OSC Points each

+$5 random participation prize

Main Event:
1st 240 OSC points
2nd 125 OSC points
3rd + 4th 60 OSC points each
5-8th 20 OSC points each
9-16th 10 OSC points each
17-28th 5 OSC points each

And chance to collect $15 OSC Bounty on MeomaikA

Bonus Prize Pool:
– For the season we have 20 broadcast events, for each broadcast we hit avg of 50+ viewers, prize pool goes up $10 ($200 potential)
– If we average 100+ viewers for 3 broadcasts (another $300 added)
– 50% paypal donations during the broadcast goes to the prize pool
– 100% of Matcherino donations
